CHARLES H. THULIN has practiced employee benefits law for 21 years. He speaks and writes frequently on employee benefits. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.

Chuck received his J.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he was an editor of the Industrial Relations Law Journal. He received his A.B. degree with distinction from Stanford University. Chuck was a fellow at the Institute for Labor and Business Law at the University of Cologne, Germany, from 1977 to 1978, and a Rotary fellow at the University of Göttingen from 1972 to 1973.

ERISA and Employee Benefits Practice
Chuck designs and advises on defined contribution and 401(k) plans, defined benefit pension plans, self-funded and insured health plans, and Code section 125 flexible benefit plans. He conducts ERISA and employee benefits litigation on behalf of plans and individuals, advises clients concerning ERISA fiduciary responsibility, including investment and management of plan assets, represent clients in DOL investigations and IRS audits, and advises clients on IRC, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA portability, privacy and security.

Chuck’s clients include employers, benefit trusts, benefit plans, benefits service providers and individuals.
