JEFFREY G. MAXWELL graduated from the University of Washington in 1993, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University in 2002. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked as a paralegal. He joined the Law Firm as an associate attorney in August, 2011, and is primarily assigned to ERISA/employee benefits collection and payroll audit enforcement. He is an experienced litigator who maintained his own, separate collection/commercial litigation practice until joining the Law Firm. He is licensed to practice in the Washington State courts, the Western District of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has successfully litigated collection matters in all courts for individuals, small businesses, corporations, and law firms. He is also licensed to practice in Oregon and has appeared in courts in that jurisdiction, as well as Bankruptcy Courts and District Courts in New York and Texas, and various Federal agencies. His commercial litigation experience includes years-long litigation in various federal courts against Enron and the banks which conspired with the company to commit fraud.
